Isabella Humphrey Ventura was born in Barcelona from a canadian father and a catalan mother.Her parents bought her a camera when she was 10. At the age of 13 she had her first assignment: take the school photos on their trip to Ibiza.

She studied photography in Grisart, where she got a grant for a workshop with Joan Fontcuberta in the Reencontres de la Photographie, Arles, France.

She started working in advertising as a Location Scout and later as a 2AD for TV commercials and film.

She started traveling in 2002. India, Nepal, Canada, Tunisia, Australia, Tasmania, Singapore, Thailand, Alaska, Philippines, Indonesia -Timor, Sumbawa, Flores, Rinca, Komodo, Bali...- Malasia, Laos, Cambodia, Argentina, Chile, French Polinesia... always going back to her hometown, Barcelona.

She´s traveled all the east coast of Australia on her own in a campervan for 6 months, has sailed Indonesia a couple of times, she´s filmed video in Alaska, has worked steering a fishing boat for salmon, has sailed for 36 days and nights aboard a ketck through the Pacific... She says " Life is a trip and pushing my limits and exploring new horizons is what really makes me feel alive in a world that, in spite of being cruel sometimes it is also very beautiful".
